Best Kept Secret in Lewes

Thursday 15 May 2014

Lewes Bowls Club, founded 1922, is both a friendly and a competitive club that has been offering companionship, exercise and competition to men and women for 92 years.  We have kitchen and bar facilities and we hold various social events such as quizzes, barbecue and skittle nights, throughout the year.

We open for this season’s outdoor play and practice at the end of April 2014 and will finish at the end of September.  We also play bowls during the winter at an indoor venue in Lewes.  We invite new members of all ages, boys and girls, men and women, to join us.  We offer free, friendly, supportive coaching to get you started.

Where are we?

We are in Mountfield Road, next door to the Mountfield Road car park and Lewes Football Ground.  Our delightful green overlooks the Priory remains.

Bowls is an ideal game for those of any age wanting a new challenge or a change from playing cricket, tennis or golf, in the company of like-minded people.

If this sounds like you, then give our Chairman, Peter Pratt, a call on 01273 890440.

Any new member joining this year will receive a discount of 25% off the first season’s membership.
